One thing we have to give credit it to the AirAsia management for their creative monetizing ideas. With the new launching of their Xpress Boarding service and option to choose preferred seating, they have tapped into a niche market where many who do not mind paying that little extra for extra comfort.

“This new service provides passengers the opportunity to be amongst the first to board and have the greatest choice of seats, ahead of the general boarding group, at an introductory fee of RM20 one-way,” said the airline's executive vice-president commercial Kathleen Tan.

With the old free seating policy, I foresee this will be a hot selling feature for them. I am personally very thankful to them for cultivating the usage of the internet among Malaysians since the launch of the highly popular website.
