Networking is an important aspect of life and more so on the internet where it is so vast. Today, the social networking scene is getting more targeted and refined thus the launch of Sci-Edge social network for techies and science fanatics from Star Wars to the pure scientific kind, is very timely indeed.

The site design is nothing to shout about but the functionality and huge array of community features are amazing to say the least. There are games, forums, chats and polls among others to get to know one another better within the community.

Starting an account couldn't be simpler by just entering your username and email for activation process. Once that is done, you will need to create a profile and state your location which many details can be kept private if you prefer to do so. Everything you need is laid out on your dedicated page and from then on its to just start making new friends and join the groups of your choice. There is even a feature to have your own blog too which you can forward your posts to your friends via email and I think this is a superb feature indeed.
