It's truly shocking hearing the news of people donating expired consumables to the already unfortunate flood victims recently. Instead of helping with a giving heart, they are making things worse with the possibility of inducing food poisoning.

Talk about stepping on people when they are down... this is ridiculous! Here is a quote from Mohd Kamal Omar the director of operations of The Malaysian Red Crescent Society:

“We noticed very attractive labels placed over the expiry date. We tore them off and saw the (expiry) date was Oct 3 last year. Can you imagine what would have happened if the expired food products had reached the flood victims?” he asked.

I implore those who are considering helping to do so in kind or please don't help at all if you're gonna do something as harmful as this.
