I know it has been ages since I last posted here as I've migrated to Wordpress hosted blog.

Still this new iPhone app gave me a reason to use this blog as a testing ground for Blogpress.

Let me now add a picture I took on my iPhone recently and see how it turns out as well.

If this all views well on the browser, who knows I might revive this blog just to pen down my thoughts on the move.

I am testing out a new blogging application on my iPhone. If this works, then keeping my blog updated would be so much easier. So far the setup was a breeze but as I am typing this, I notice the lack of editting features.

Nevertheless, this app supports multiple blogging platform including Wordpress and allows video upload to our Youtube account as well.

I do hope the above picture displays properly cause I am unable to adjust any settings such as alignment.

Top 12 American Idol Season 7 Performance

New look, new talents and a brand new stage sets the tone for an exciting night of performances. I must admit the jitters did get to a few of them but overall it was highly entertaining and one of the best Top 12 ever to grace American Idol.

The surprise for me of the night had to be David Archuleta forgetting the lyrics thus having a memorable night for all the wrong reasons. That being said, I'm sure his gigantic fan base will see him through to the next round for sure.

The weaker or safe efforts of the night besides D.Archuleta in my opinion would be David Hernandez, Kristy Lee Cook and surprisingly Ramiele Malubay who is one of my personal favorite.

Now comes the performances that blew the new roof off, first was Chikezie who sang 'She's a Woman' with a whole new vibe and funk to it. A huge risk that obviously paid off from the applaud of the crowd and judge's feedback. He looked remarkably comfortable on stage and really let loose.

Next was the back to back performances of Carly Smithson and David Cook. They really showed they mean business and sang their hearts out. Vocally Carly is fantastic as usual and David picked the perfect song to add his flavor to it. I also have to add that David Cook's interview was the best of the lot as well. He really oozes with confident and charisma which probably comes with his age. Out of both of them, I decided to showcase David's performance here cause I feel he did heck of a job on it.

Top 16 Female Performance

With the guys on fire the night before, the girls knew what they had to do to put on a better show and that my dear friends they did. Even the so called weak ones did much better than anticipated such as Kady and especially Kristy with a country touch to her performance as she promised.

The judge's favorite of the night was Amanda's performance which although I enjoyed it immensely, I felt it was more of a victory for showmanship rather than anything else. I am sure though that the rockers of America will vote for her in droves after that.

My personal favorite of the night was a tough fight between Carly and Syesha whom I thought both of them really put on an amazing vocal performance. Since I featured Carly last week, so today would be Syesha's turn.

At the end of the day, I am very much like Paula whereby I can't pin point which one of the 8 girls I would prefer to be sent packing so to speak. Amazing talent this year indeed.

Top 16 Male Performance

Oh what a NIGHT! Song choice was the highlight of previous weeks and this week the guys really got it spot on. Besides Luke who took the stage first, the other 7 really showed their ability and it is hard to even fathom which two will have to leave.

With amazing performances from several of them, its extremely hard to pick my favorite so to speak but after much thought, the best one of the night belonged to David Cook with his rock rendition of 'Hello'.

I have to give credit to Michael Johns, Jason Castro and Chikezie for very impressive performance on their part. Talking about Chikezie, I really do not agree with Simon on his comment at all. For me the vocal and control was fantastic, so nevermind if it was a Whitney song.

Top 20 Female Performance

First and foremost, the girls this week seem to have taken the safe route with an overall average performance by all of them. A point mentioned yesterday about Song Choice from the 70's is even more highlighted by the girls. The bad ones in terms of song choice I feel are Kady Malloy and Amanda Overmyer.

The real highlight of the day I must say is from the very first contestant that took the stage, Carly Smithson with her powerful rendition of Crazy For You. It was indeed an improvement over previous week for Carly and she showed why she is one of the favorite this year.

As I mentioned it was a offnight in my opinion for the girls but I hope to see all of them who makes it through to put on the performance of their career.

Top 20 Male Performance

Every year during this stage of the competition, one of the contestants will simply take all of our breath away with an unforgettable and memorable performance. Last year was Melinda and this year it's the highly gifted David Archuleta. I was totally shocked when he started singing as I thought singing 'Imagine' a song so well known is as Simon puts it, highly risky but David did amazingly especially with his own arrangement to it.

For the night as a whole, the guys really showed what they got. The ones that deserves special mention to me would be Danny Noriega, David Cook and especially David Hernandez who gave the 2nd best performance of the day for me.

The thing that bug me a little is with the song choice. With a great decade to choose from which is the 70's, it is just astonishing why some of them did not pick better and more impactful songs for the week.

Oh well, lets just see what the girls cook up tomorrow then.

Top 24 Show Review

This season promises to be one of the very best in terms of talents. The top 24 reaffirms that with large number of worthy performances as Simon would put it. I strongly believe the competition would really be right on the line when it comes down to the last 16 as those who remain if America vote wisely brings something to the table may it be vocal, showmanship, personality or character.

The boys kick of the week with quite a number of originality shown in their rendition of songs and that sets the tone for what to expect from this season no doubt. Among the most memorable for me would be David Achuleta and David Cook performance.

As for the girls who took the stage a day later, they really gave the boys a run for their money and more. One thing that stood out for me with the girls this year is the hunger among them seem to be there more so than previous seasons. The highlight of the show is Ramiele Malubay who totally blew me away with her vocal control and I feel that she would surely make it very far into this season's competition.

Other great performance which comes to mind are from the energetic Alexandrea Lushington and very determined Syesha Mercado.

Music have always been a big part of our lives as we were growing up thanks to our beloved Father. It was unfortunate I could not be there in person but this video surely made up for what I missed.

Audition Week 1 - Dallas

Week one continues at the oil rich city of Dallas, Texas. Although 29 was sent through to Hollywood, many of them did not shine in my opinion except for one Kady Malloy. It may be fitting too since she was the last to audition for the day cause she sure left a big impression on the judges and the viewing public too.

Kady who hails from Houston not only has the looks but also a remarkable voice as well which will surely see her through the later stages of this year's competition. Just check out her impersonation of Britney Spears during her audition and you will know what I mean.

Audition Week 1 - Philadelphia

To start the ball rolling this season is the highly populated city of Philadelphia. The spirits was high and things looks bright for this franchise pushing through year seven with another bang. Sure enough the crowds came in droves but sadly only 24 received their golden ticket to Hollywood.

First up is Kristy Lee Cook who hails from Oregon and her beautiful rendition of 'Amazing Grace' with a tinge of her soulful country voice. She oozes with charisma and confidence which surely will take her far if she can get through the madness of the Hollywood rounds.

Next is Chris Watson whose dreams is to be a music legend someday. From the outlook, this young gentleman looks promising especially with his diverse musical influence which will come in handy throughout the competition.

American Idol Season 7 Begins

Well here we go again... an all new season of American Idol has kicked off with crowded auditions and drama after drama unfolding. I shall be featuring each week as usual with the latest gossips and news surrounding this phenomenal reality show.

The next few weeks, we shall be witnessing the audition process which besides will show a broad spectrum of talents will also showcase the madness that ensues.

So who will take home the crown this season? Will it be a female or male? Talent over showmanship? Only one sure way to find out of course... let the good times roll!

Britney Losing Her Children

In the world today where life can be quite demanding with all thats going around us, it can be easy to understand how we can let things slip by but definitely that doesn't apply to our children or does it? Well in the world of celebrities where money is no object, the situation is rather shocking especially in the case of Britney Spears.

She just lost her visiting rights to her children at least until she comply with the court orders. The reason for this judgement is Spears is believed to be engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol", according to Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon.

One can only hope new aspiring parents to be would put more emphasis on providing a loving and nurturing environment for their children and give them the best platform to grow.

Blake Is Glad He Didn't Win

I think this is a common dilemma when a particular American Idol contestant realizes he or she will make it in the music industry as they progress through the show.

In a recent interview with AccessHollywood.com, Blake admitted that he was glad he didn't win because of some of the things he'd be required to do for contractual reasons which he did not elaborate on. He did mentioned about the need for him to come back for three years and "do stuff" which I guess implies on appearances during future seasons of show.

On a separate note, Jordin is set to release her first single "This Is My Now". She shared that when she first heard the song, she couldn't believe how perfect it was for her. She says it relates to what she's been dreaming about and she feels it spoke to her.

Past Idols Finale Showcase

Thought I'd share the recently available videos of past idol winners who performed during yesterday's Finale which of course Jordin won. Most of the songs they sang were quite unknown except for Carrie. The thing I find interesting if you observe closely is how Taylor is getting a lukewarm reception from the audience. His performance although energetic but to me lacked that sparkling magic and some parts to me were a little out of tune.

I do also wonder why Fantasia did not show up to lend her support... perhaps due to a previous engagement maybe. Anyways, here they are for your enjoyment:

There was some major feature additions over at PayPerPost yesterday which I feel will further strengthen their market dominance for paid reviews or paid to blog industry. The main new feature called PPP Direct is basically a very simple concept of doing it better than your competitors.

With their strength in the number of registered bloggers, the PPP Direct model is very much like ReviewMe except for the low commission rate which goes to PayPerPost. I believe this is very fair as all the marketing work in sourcing for the advertiser is done by the publisher themselves. So why shouldn't they get the bulk of the fee?

I think this would be a good measurement in terms of who will win it all. Both Blake and Jordin sang the winning submitted song, 'This Is My Now' which is well written and very touching as Jordin proves it.

Overall the evening belongs to Jordin purely on her vocals. As Paula said it best, both of them are already winners, its just a matter of who takes home the title of American Idol Winner of Season 6. Have a look at their individual performance and judge for yourself.

I have no doubt both of them will have a splendid career after this and record sales through the roof. Here's to the final show and may it be as good as last season which I enjoyed immensely.

Top 3 - Elimination & Tribute - Shocker!

Oh My Gawd!!! Totally unbelievable results. Although I always thought this might happen to whoever who gets to this stage but didn't expect it this season at least not to Melinda.

I strongly believe that she will have a great career ahead of her and unlike Jordin or Blake, she doesn’t need to be crowned American Idol to achieve that dream of hers. Tonight might be another classic case of voters feeling too assured for Melinda thus casting less votes in for her.

Taking Elliott Yamin as an example who was the guest artist this evening or Chris Daughtry from previous season, the future is still very bright even for not finishing first or second in the competition.

As for the finale, I don’t mind who wins it now cause I adore them both for their own uniqueness. I guess it will come down to their performance next week and their fan base. For speculation sake, Jordin might have a slight advantage being most likely the favorite choice for Melinda's legion of fans.

Idol Top 3 Performance Breakdown

Awesome week this turned out to be with 3 performance from each of the final 3 contestants based on the judges, producers and personal choice. This is one of the highlight of the season for me to see their versatility and to see their desire to make it to the final.

Here are my favorite performance from each segment:

Round 1: Judges’ Choice
Melinda - I Believe In You And Me

Bloody amazing from Melinda... what else can I say about this lil pro which has not been said before. Her control was simply remarkable and it sure is the best of all 9 performance this week for me.

Round 2: Producers’ Choice
Jordin - She Works Hard For The Money

This is the type of song and style I envision she would excel in after this competition. Her only weakness which is no fault of hers is that she lacks the experience and charisma that Melinda seems to oozes gallons of but nonetheless she will do extremely well and possibly enjoy even better record sales than Melinda.

Round 3: Contestants’ Choice
Blake - When I Get You Alone

He won this segment for me with his energetic and smooth trademark rendition which will surely please his legion of fans. The other point I admire him for was that he went with a new song unlike Melinda and Jordin.

Overall, I believe Melinda have already booked her ticket to the finals but the surprise this week is how Blake took it up a notch and showed his determination to progress. It's going to be a tough fight between Jordin and Blake this week which actually I thought Blake would not even have a chance. I guess his won over a large portion of Chris R's fans after his elimination.

Overall... Jordin was totally amazing! Melinda a little too preachy for my taste but I still adore her and the video of Blake shows just how much stranglehold he's got over his teenage fans. So whoever leaves later this week should be proud of themselves cause they are already winners in their own right.

Just look at Elliot Yamin who was eliminated at this stage last season, he still managed to get a recording deal and he sure deserves it too.

The elimination of Lakisha was quite expected by many for various reasons but knowing her life struggles and idol journey thus far, I must say I was touched by her in particularly her strength shown during her tribute. That being said, I'm sure all will agree that her final performance was out of this world. If every contestant would only perform like they did in their elimination performance, I'm sure they would have lasted longer which goes the same for Lakisha.

As for the final 3, I strongly believe it will be a Melinda vs Jordin final but Blake's legion of fans might just pull a huge upset. I can't wait to view their homecoming videos next week which I'm sure will be very touching once again like previous seasons.

Firstly I must say I am quite disappointed by the overall performance this week except for 2 sung by Jordin and Melinda both on their second song. Lakisha for me was the most out of place cause she isn't as dynamic against her fellow female contestants and do not offer anything unique such as Blake. The winner tonight for me is Jordin by a mile singing 'To Love Somebody' which I can't help but think of Clay's version back in season 2.

A lot of high praises for Jordin by Barry but I guess it was well deserved. Melinda pulled another solid performance with her rendition of 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart' and I guess thats where she sets herself apart from the rest which is her consistency.

Surely its going to be an all girls final in the cards.

At this stage of the competition, it can be somewhat predictable until when it reach the Top 3 especially for this season. This week saw Phil and Chris being eliminated and I strongly believe it ain't so much about how well they perform this week but more importantly how well they have won fans over in the course of the past 7 weeks. This is where Phil and Chris lacked I believe.

I'm sad to see Phil go since he have really found his footing lately although a little too late as I mentioned. I would have preferred Lakisha to go but who can deny her large fan base. My guess its her turn next since the other remaining 3 looks quite untouchable and with Blake being the only guy left, he will surely gain extra votes especially from Chris fans.

As for Chris… there isn’t much to say about him and that is a bad thing on its own. I do hope a gentle heart like his will find success in the near future. Next will be Disco week coached by Barry Gibb and if you are interested, Barry is keeping a dairy on this which should be interesting.

Actually I wanted to just skip this and go straight to my weekly results post since I just got back from my holiday. Fortunately Blake performance forced me to feature this cause HE TOTALLY ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!

The best original rendition ever on Idol thats for sure. You just have to view it to know what exactly I'm talking about if you already haven't watched the show.

For the others, Lakisha also forced her way back into contention with a strong performance and Melinda is awesome as always. Sadly Jordin didn't do so well with rock but I don't think she would be in much trouble since votes are compiled from previous week as well. Phil kept on improving and Chris to me remained true to himself which actually ain't such a good thing at this stage of the competition.

Returning Home From My Holiday

I just got home a few hours ago from my short trip to Pangkor Island. I must say this trip was really overdue but I must honestly say that I thought about my blogs quite often... LOL!

Nonetheless, it was relaxing being cut off from all the convenience of a city life especially after the first day. I've got so many of emails to go through tho so I shall keep this short and post some pictures later.

Oh by the way, the pristine waters of Pangkor is slowly fading away but still beat the hell out of Port Dickson for sure. I guess thats the price we have to pay for development.

My Dream Kauai Vacation Packages

Nature lovers dream is what the enchanting island of Kauai is all about. During my time in Hawaii studying, I was practically dying to visit Kauai but did not get the chance to do so and I've regret it ever since. Back then getting reasonably priced kauai vacation packages was hard to come by since it was such a popular destination.

I spent most of my time in Oahu and visited Maui once when my mom came over to visit me. I still miss the easy going lifestyle and the wonderful feeling that every single day is a holiday in Hawaii. I stayed in an apartment with a few of my Malaysian university mates near Waikiki and since then, I've always dreamt of owning a piece of property in Hawaii preferably in one of the islands like Kauai.

No doubt getting a property on any island is always going to be dearer since available land is scarce. What a pulsating match it was! At the start of the game I never gave much chance for Liverpool making it but they really dug deep and pull through. One can argue that Liverpool had better rested players but to me, their hunger to win can be seen vividly as compared to Chelsea. The final score was 1-0 to Liverpool after extra time but they won it via penalties 4-1 which makes Reina the new hero of Liverpool.

Now they march on to Athens to meet either M.United or AC Milan next and it would be great to see both English teams making it to the final which is very possible since MU does have an advantage over AC Milan.

As for Chelsea, the quadruple dreams this season is over but they still have a chance of bagging 3 titles if they can win the remaining premier league and FA Cup titles.

With a noble theme this week, I picked 2 performance which make a profound impact on me in delivering the message. The two that came out tops for me were Jordin and Phil. That being said, all of them really raised their game and as the judges said, the competition has now come to live.

Jordin picked a Liverpool song but boy did she sang it differently than the usual chants we here in the stadium. Not only did she sang it so well but her delivery was impeccable. With a string of magnificent performances since Top 12 and in particular this week's, she is definitely going into the final this season for me.

As for Phil, I believe he has improved leaps and bounds starting off with last week's country performance. I couldn't agree with Simon more about how he should stick to the country music style which suits his vocal. I have a good feeling he will be around next week.

The golden question of who is going home... if I had to pick, then my guess would be Chris but we'll see.

Rather than hide his feelings behind that winning smile, Malakar instead let fly during a tearful farewell to the remaining six. The next-day, the 17-year-old opened up to reporters about Simon, his hair, hiring a bodyguard and more.

What do you think turned the tide for you on Tuesday night?
Honestly, I'm not a country singer. I think that that really took a toll on me. And I didn't have enough really strong performances to let people forgive me for that. Like, for example, Lakisha, she's not necessarily a country singer either, but she had enough strong performances to get her though – and I don't think I did.

What have you learned most as a result of being thrust into fame like this?
I think I've learned not to let any negativity get you – just to keeping on trucking, I guess. And try to find the positive in everything.

What would you say to Simon?
Well, from the beginning I think that Simon saw potential in me, and when I didn't fulfill that potential, he was kind of disappointed. So I just want to say to him that he's an amazing person, and what he does is awesome. He's very opinionated, but I learned more from him than anyone else while I was on the show.

Is it true that you had a habit of reading the online blogs to gauge your performance? What kind of an affect did that have?
Well, I read the blogs more to balance myself, because it was kind of impossible not to hear stuff, and often times it was negative. So I kind of balanced the negative and the positive just to keep my self grounded.

Was it frustrating for you that your hair got almost more attention than your singing?
No, because at a certain point, that had kind of become my thing. Because I think that everyone looks for something to grab on to with each contestant, so I feel like my hair was that for me.

With all the hair and the hats and everything, was your philosophy at a certain point just to go for broke?
My philosophy was just to stay true to myself and try to put my personality out there – and that's all.

You had the sense that the tide was against you. Did you ever consider quitting or dropping out in deference to your fellow singers?
Not at all, not at all. I was going to stay as long as I possibly could and just work every week and try to learn from everything that happened.

How did you react when Hilary Clinton was asked about you at a news conference?
I heard about that very briefly. And it's interesting because I had no idea how much impact the show has. I think it's interesting that someone like me, a 17-year-old Seattle boy, could have so much impact to get into the presidential debate.

What will you do next?
I'm definitely looking at a music career but I also want to venture into acting and modeling and possibly Broadway or something because I want to get the full entertainment business.

With the pros and cons of celebrity, are you thinking about getting a bodyguard?
Yeah, I'm definitely ready to hire a bodyguard. I'm actually looking to do that right now.

As you can hear, this is Clay's version of the song which I must say he did a great justice to it. He always have that advantage singing oldies with that remarkable voice of his. Besides this song, the other more notable ones from him is Solitaire. Hope you guys enjoyed it!

What a result show this was! It was finally the end of the road for Sanjaya which has been long overdue purely based on talent cause this kid is a real nice character. Shockingly though Lakisha and Blake find themselves in the bottom 3 which means Phil and Chris is save. That really shows that you've gotta perform well week in and week out which is something very lacking in Lakisha I must say.

As for this week's mentor Martina McBride, the song she sang was so beautiful and meaningful especially in a time like this. The 2 parts where she dedicated to the contestants was so moving and I do not think any other mentor really connect themselves to the contestants as much as Martina did this week.

If J.Lopez oozes confidence and charisma last week, Martina touched everyone’s heart with her strong and compassionate soul. This one is a keeper for sure for seasons to come.

Grease Final Performance with Broadway Cast

Just wanted to share the ultra cool 'Grease: You're The One That I Want' reality show which should be a one off kind of thing. The video here is the final performance from the eventual winners Max and Laura winning the role of Danny and Sandy respectively.

For both the winners, the win was somewhat unexpected and more so for Max. Austin and Ashley looked more like the part with his mucho looks and her blond hair. Nevertheless, Americans decided to go for the underdogs with enormous talent that more than makes up for it.

I only wish Laura was in American Idol this year... she would have given Melinda a great run to the finals I'm sure.

What a mind blowing week of performances! I'm really eating my words last week when I said Phil is going to go although he still might but he gave a performance worthy of a star! The usual 2 frontrunners of mine did an amazing job again with Jordin scraping the top notch spot for me this week with the way she sang it so meaningfully.

Melinda choose a fast country number and she proved her worth as the favorite of this year's competition but the surprising one is truly Phil! I think he should go into the country music genre after this cause I foresee him having a great career there. His top notch performance deserves a highlight this week. I'm not sure if he will be safe from elimination by gaining enough voters but we'll see.

The disappointing ones for me was Chris and who else but Sanjaya. With Phil's out of this world performance, I think Chris might find himself out the door tomorrow although his dedication at the end might just earn him some valuable votes.

All said and done, the main winner for me this week was none other than Jennifer Lopez. I never thought it would happen but the guys brought the house down this week (excluding you know who of course). Blake for me was the best of the lot followed closely by Melinda and Chris. As I'm sure you all know, Melinda is my favorite but I think she could have done better by being more teasingly sexy and Simon was spot on to say the performance was kinda woody. If you do not take you know who again into consideration, then the weakest in my opinion was Haley. Her song choice was terrible cause there was hardly any actual solo singing being constantly accompanied by the amazing backup trio and for this, I believe it is the end of the road for her unless America fall for her legs again.

Contestants aside, I think Simon is having one of his lousy streak days cause he was being so negatively critical. On the other hand, I feel Jennifer Lopez stood out as a mentor with her charisma and personality. For that I shall feature the video where the Top 8 first met up with her... so Enjoy!

Hunting For A Good Value Car

I recall vividly the time I first moved down to KL and was frantically looking to get a good value used car at the very last minute as I was starting work the following Monday. An old high school friend of mine took me all around hunting for it but most of what I saw was way off my budget. I guess the sales fellas could smell my desperation from miles away.

Streamyx Down In Parts of Klang Valley

I just had the most tormenting 5 hours with so much blogging plans for the day but suddenly my streamyx was down at a little pass 10pm earlier. Frantically I call the technical department and had to wait for more than 18mins before I was attended to. Thank goodness the guy was kind enough to explain so tenderly the situation to me cause I was at the point of pulling my hair up till then.

Everything is back to normal now since 3am and I understand that there was some faulty issue with one of their god knows how many servers. He did explained tho that not all areas are effected and I was just unlucky.

He also mention to me that they will be doing a service maintenance on their support system this Friday from 3am to 5am which means they will be unreachable. I told him that would not be a problem as long as there are no issues with the internet connection. Gosh I got so much to do but am way too tired already... eeek!

Although I can understand the rationale behind this proposal but getting it implemented is another story. I can imagine the management of RapidKL scratching their head on how to accommodate this. Logistically I think its gonna be a big mess. Whats next? Different entrance and escalators for male and female?

Besides that, there are so many other considerations for example during peak hours of the day and more importantly during the big holidays. For practical reasons I don't think it will be easy but once again I do understand the reason for the proposal... well at least its much better than the infamous blogger registration proposal made last week.

You really have to give the creative people at PPP credit for their out of this world marketing techniques. Who would have ever dream of breaking a Guinness Book of World Records such as this? Yup... they did just that today and even better, they are promoting it too.

So what is the target then? Well according to the PPP blog post, the highest comments they believe to be in the 350 region but they are not leaving anything to chance by setting a goal of a staggering 2,000 unique human generated comments which contains a minimum of at least 25 words each. So those commonly seen comments such as "Cool!", "All the best!" and "I agree!" just won't cut it.

At the time of writing, there are already 37 comments made and achieving the goal would most likely not a problem since their member base is so large. So its a matter of WHEN rather than IF in this case. Perhaps due to the recent projects they are launching this week, they just wanted to have some fun.

I presume they are looking at a long term goal of gaining popularity and sustain their tight hold on being the very best paid posting platform in the entire web. For this I surely wish them good luck and kudos for attempting this feat.

Clay Aiken had a fundraiser gala for his Bubel/Aiken Foundation two weeks ago on March 31. The items were bid on the internet first and then that price was used as the starting bid at the live auction.

He also cheekily auctioned a dinner with him and friends for $20,000.

Taping in Las Vegas for an ice skating special for NBC on Christmas day. He will be singing 8 songs and the only performer. They also receive a room at the hotel and meet & greet with Clay. There were two people bidding for it and he gave it to both of them for $26,000 each.

As in everything else we do in life, all of us desire to be admired for the hardwork we have done may it be in academically, career, as a parent or in sports. Now this time around comes blogger awards which is one of the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a Blogger.

If you frequent a particular blog and think that the author deserves the accolade, then by all means register at blogger awards and nominate for him or her. If in the case your favorite blog is already nominated, then just cast in your precious vote.

There are so many categories from the obvious to the hysterical such as Best Geek Blog, Most Obnoxious Blogger and Worst Blog of All Time. God knows I wouldn't want to ever see one of my blogs in those categories. What will they come up with next I really wonder. I fear this situation will do more harm than good when it comes to the local hosting industry whereby all bloggers will be looking overseas for solutions. Another week and the stakes get even higher. Most of the contestants upped their performance this week including Sanjaya... yes thats right... I said Sanjaya. Most likely this genre of music suited him and Haley best.

All said and done though, it was Ms. Dolittle that stone the limelight with her energetic performance and impeccable voice control.

As for the guys, only surviving Chris tore the house down with his rendition of 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore' although personally I think he needs to work on his vocal delivery to make it to the Top 3 as his performance no matter how entertaining can get quite stale in time.

The End of Arsenal FC Season

With the English Premier League season drawing to a close, my favorite club, Arsenal is also facing another trophyless season amid all the early season potential. Nevermind that they have been unlucky with injuries but the inexperience of the younger players also played a factor.

With the recent 4-1 hammering by Liverpool, it goes to show it might take another 2 seasons for the younger squad members to reach their full potential but sadly the dynamic ones like Henry will be reaching their 30's with nothing to show for it. That being said, I do feel they have the necessary drive to battle with the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool next season.

After all said and done for Arsenal fans across the globe, we can only wait patiently for the start of next season and watch in hope they pip Liverpool to the 3rd spot in the remaining matches.

Its amazing to hear Chris Sligh confessing to wanting to leave the competition prior to his elimination last week. According to the curly haired guy from South Carolina, he only wanted to make it to the Top 10 in order to participate in the American Idol Summer Tour and NOT I quote "winning it"!

This similar reason have been given by Mario Vazquez on Season 4 as well but he decided to leave right when he made it to the Top 12. Our Road Transport Department announced yesterday of the new curriculum they are implementing at the end of the year. I think this move is both welcome and long overdue in a bid to lower road accidents and fatalities. More importantly its about building a civic conscious society where people look after each other's safety interests.

Back in 2004, Malaysia was ranked at a daunting 48th in the International Road Accident Fatality Statistics which safest countries were lead by Malta, Netherlands and Sweden respectively. With 21 Per Capita Death Rate to our name is truly a scary thought as compared to the ranked 4th, United Kingdom which has a population of nearly tripled of ours standing at a mere 5.3 Per Capita Death Rate. This goes to show there are plenty of room for improvement.

Director-general Prof Radin Umar Radin Sohadi of Malaysia Institute for Road Safety Research shared that the goal was to reduce accident rates by as much as 50% within five to 10 years. If we are able to achieve it, that would put us somewhere in the low 20's ranking based on the earlier statistics.

I would say its all about instilling caring moral values and the instructors play a huge role as well. If my previous driving instructor of 13yrs ago would to be taken as an example, this plan would have gone down the drain.

I just do not understand the qualms and fuss these so called neighbors of Mr. Genshiro Kawamoto's properties. They are accusing him of intentionally trying to drive down the properties value so he can buy more. This is absurd since I have personally lived in the island of Oahu for 2 years and I can tell you that Hawaii's properties (more so for those located on Oahu) rarely go down which is somewhat like the properties in Penang island.

There are just so much land to build upon especially after taking out all the preserved areas which means only the mega rich invests on properties in Hawaii. The normal 3 bedroom apartment I was staying in costs USD 320k then and today it's worth USD 550k after doing some checking online.

Seriously... just look at the native Hawaiians he awarded the 10yr stay on his properties to, these are good families with humble jobs such as teachers. I'm pretty sure Mr. Kawamoto or his advisers would have ensure they picked the best families too since I'm sure they are also concern for the maintenance of the property.

Anyways heres to Mr. Kawamoto for his generosity and giving back to the community although its not his native country which makes it an even more amazing gift of the heart.

Online MMORPG Cronous English Is Back!

Its been nearly 3 years since the demise of Cronous at the hands of E-Games Malaysia which at the time was running on a pay to play basis. Myself and a few close friends were ardent supporter of the game even though it lacks the beautiful graphics we all come to expect from online games today, Cronous more than makes up for it in terms of gameplay.

Recently, the developer themselves decided to launch the english version of the game under the banner Global Cronous. It is currently in close beta but should be open to public in a few weeks time. If you are keen to give this game a try, just visit their Global Cronous site to keep updated on public beta launch dates.

Surprisingly I was accepted as one of the many close beta testers and during the first day of testing just 2 days ago, it brought back fond memories from the past. Check out the screen shot on the left here captured during the first day. From my observation, this seems to be a slightly older version of game compared to the Korean and Japanese version but still very much worth hours of playing time.

My main concern previously was the lack of support but with Lizard Interactive managing this themselves, I foresee much better times in the future.

Rehabilitation For Those In Real Need

Drug addiction is a common issue for both developing and developed countries. In Malaysia we have been battling this for the last two decades to a certain degree of success with our strict penalties.

When I was in the US for my studies, it is also a very common and wide spread problem and the problem persists till this day which can be vouched by the television series we watch on the tube such as CSI.

The good news is in Michigan, USA; there is a drug rehab center called Stone Hawk where they treat both drug and alcohol addiction without the use of any other form of medical drugs or medication. This well equipped center is run by people who have experienced this issues for themselves in their own lives which is truly amazing in my opinion. In their wonderful program, their objective is to help those who have gone through and so to speak graduate to pursue normal lives.

I can't imagine a better effort being done to help people with this addiction and perhaps in Malaysia we should follow their example on how to set up a drug rehab. Do pay their site a visit especially to read up on very informative articles about this issue.

Its either this show is losing its spark among Americans or its turning out to be a popularity contest in terms of gaining support and not so much on who can actually SING!

Well lets talk about the performance first. The 3 that stand out for me this week was as always Melinda and then Jordin and Chris Robinson. This week featured video I picked is not only based on performance but also I think the contestant who have improved the most... and that is none other than Ms. Jordan Sparks. Enjoy the video:

Back to the results, all I can say is what a bloody disappointing week's this results is and don't even get me started on Sanjaya... Sigh!

Well here's to little Stephanie cause she definitely have the talent to take her far and perhaps all she really need now is some experience which I'm sure this competition have given her lots of.

Elliott Yamin - Wait For You - World Premiere Video

At long last Elliot Yamin's album is finally launched and here is the very first single entitled 'Wait For You' World Premiere Video. This is a catchy song which surely is targeting the younger generation on a more commercial approach. Nevertheless its a nice song and great effort from the man.

Personally I like the guy's good nature and determination coupled with his awesome vocal gifts.

So here's to Elliott and may this album of his go platinum and all his other dreams come true cause he surely deserves it for all the hardships he has gone through.
